I think the new Chiefs FO knows they need to find a QB. But, nothing they've said gives me confidence that they will take a QB with the first pick. Dorsey isn't coming into this blind. He probably already has very strong opinions on the QBs in this class and there's no reason not to pimp them if you like them. But he's come out and said that he's not going to reach, over and over and over.

Things change over time and he may be waiting to interview them, but at this moment in time it's not looking promising.

Which in reality means nothing, he can take whoever he wants and say "he was the top guy on the board".

Not to mention everything will change by the draft for all we know Matt Barkley might be #1 by everyone by then, no one really knows.

Exactly. And there's no guarantee it's a QB.

This isn't 2012 when everybody knew by 2010 who the #1 pick was going to be.

in 1998 the Eagles drafted their LT with the 11th pick in the draft, he started for 10 years and played in 3 pro bowls

the next year in 1999 Reid (Reid's 1st) picked McNabb with the 2nd pick

in 2000 Reid went out in FA and got the RT Jon Runyan, he played 9 years and made the Pro Bowl

Reid will value these 3 positions 1st, pretty normal especially for a pass oriented offensive minded coach

The Chiefs signed Eric Winston last year and can re-sign or tag Brandon Albert. They also have a couple of recently-drafted tackles. They don't need to spend the pick there.

They also have 2 DE's that shouldn't be here next season.

Isn't Reids philosophy that you need QB, OT's, DE's, and CB's to win.

Star and Joeckel are the only players I'm concerned about being the pick instead of a QB. Star would bump Poe outside.

That's not really comparable he drafted the ends to be pass rushers, different scheme etc etc.

yes, he doesn't give a flying **** about LBs and for his first 5 years he didn't prioritize WR either but that seemed to change

Logic would say he'll invest in the OLB's since he values pass rushers but the MLB's and DL probably won't get that level of investment.

maybe so if they go 3-4 which i've read somewhere they intend to do

otherwise, with a 4-3 Reid stocked up DE and DT and took whatever leftovers he could find in FA at LB

They're already a 3-4 and have said they are keeping it. They already have two pro bowl OLBs.

I bet Reid is licking his chops knowing that the majority of the heavy lifting has already been done.

Bowe
Albert
Winston
Houston
Hali
Flowers

Insert Geno Smith, please.
