Ok.

I think he is capable but the reason he avoided turnovers was because he decided not to target WRs he didn’t trust. And that’s not a good formula for us. I really do think just getting WRs who just have a feel for the position even if they’re not elite athletes would go a long way. That to me speaks a lot more to the juju effect. It’s not that juju was any good, but he executed the very basics of the position and that is more than you can say than most of our guys last year.

Ok.

Mooney got a three year deal. If you want to pretend a one year deal means that was Brown’s only option so you can continue the campaign against him go right ahead.

If Brown gets offered 3 years at the right money, he's taking it.

He's sabotaging his career if he doesn't. He's 26 years old, you take the money if /when it's offered.

That's just completely unrealistic for him and a team that has played the amount games they have over the last 6 years. I just don't think it's feasible to have that sort of focus for 19-20 games per year for 6 years straight. I'd certainly like to see the turnovers cut down, but I get why it happens

Ok.
Yeah, if he could get a deal for $42 million with probably $25 of it effectively guaranteed, I don't think it'd be wise for him to turn that down for a 1 year deal for $6 million + incentives or something.

There's so much risk for speed guys. One major lower body injury and he's probably not an NFL caliber player anymore at his size.

Whatever the term, he should be looking to secure as much as possible in practical guarantees. If that's less than he'd hoped, so be it. Going back on the market in a year just brings too much risk.

Maybe I'm just a chickenshit, but I wouldn't be willing to do that in his shoes.

Relax. You don't need to ding a guy for a contract he hasn't even signed yet. I really doubt he's signing a one-year prove-it deal anyway. Cross that bridge and burn him at the stake in your mind if he does.

I have to believe these elite athletes save some energy and focus in reserve for the playoffs. It's a long, painful season, just get through it spending as little energy as you can, then turn it up a notch in the playoffs.

I think we can acknowledge that veach built a brilliant team in spite of needing to do better at WR. Both things can be true at the same time. We made the offense work but we know we’re capable of more than that. And at bare minimum the swings we took for guys like skyy and Mvs just have to be better than the bare minimum.

Ridley is probably going to cost about 21m per and is 29. Brown is probably going to cost 14m per and turns 27 in 3 months. That's a pretty big deal with a tight cap and the age factor on a deal.

That may be THE deciding factor and I trust Veach to do what is best and not overreach or substantially overpay.
