Very few non-bronco fans can tolerate him. he creates inane threads that are homeristic in nature (his avatar is very apropos), and nobody loves him (not even his own mother)

'face, this can be the home for all knowmo threads so we aren't treated to the bi-weekly steaming 'presents' left by the front door.

Haha

Elway is a straight shooter. That's why he started selling used cars when his playing career ended.

Nothing says "straight shooter" like a used car salesman.

He owned dealerships he wasn't selling any cars.

Elway is sometimes too honest for his own good. At the peak of Tebowmania, Elway was asked if he felt Tebow had done enough to be the Broncos QBOTF, and he said, "no."

Haha

"Tebow will enter training camp as the Broncos starting quarterback."

Straight shooting, honest used car salesman quality truth.

That quote came when Elway was at the combine, and I think Elway said that Tebow had earned the right to enter training camp as the starter. Then, when asked if the Broncos were looking at QB's in the draft he said they were.

If Manning didn't get released Tebow probably would've opened camp as the starter.

So, you only have to tell the truth when it suits you to be called "honest" and a "straight shooter"?

Got it.

Sounds like a used car salesmen to me.

Broncos, Manning Dig the Long Ball

If there were reins on Peyton Manning, they were removed Monday.

After working on short-to-intermediate-range passes during the previous two organized team activities that were open to media viewing, Manning and the Denver offense focused on long passing during Monday’s 95-minute session.

“Every day you have some point of emphasis, whether it’s a screen one day or play-action one day, goal line, red zone, today was a deep ball — shots, they call them — down the field,” Manning said.

Any concerns about whether Manning’s arm strength would return after multiple neck surgeries appeared to evaporate on Monday. When Manning missed on his deep passes, the misses were long When he hit, it was breathtaking.

“I think he’s doing tremendous. Physically he looks the same to me as he’s always looked,” Broncos coach John Fox said.

Manning’s sole completion on five deep passes came to a familiar target — former and current teammate Brandon Stokley, who reached out to grab a 40-yard strike from Manning, beating triple coverage from Mike Adams, Rahim Moore and Chris Harris for the pass.

But on long passes, that’s a satisfactory ratio.

“When you are throwing deep balls, the idea is to take your shot. It’s not the highest percentage play but we’re going to keep throwing them,” he said.

“As they always say in a game, if you throw five deep balls and you complete one of them, that’s actually a great thing. I mean, you’re taking a shot and trying to send a message to the defense to hopefully back them off and that’s something we’ll continue to work on.”

Manning emerged from the practice knowing he still had work to do his his rehabilitation.

“The good thing about these OTAs is you really see kind of where you are on certain plays because you are making different types of throws,” he said. “So you’re learning a lot and you can know what to continue to work on even harder in your rehab and you know some things you may just not quite be ready for yet.”

Manning appeared ready for everything but a question about the incompletions during the OTA.

“I’ve never had to comment before on incompletions in practice before, so this is new to me,” he said.

Don't be reeruned like corky. Everybody knows why Manning was brought in and Tebow traded and exactly why Elway made those comments.

I'm just showing how dumb it is to say Elway is above "bending the truth" and how being a "straight shooter" isn't relevant to gms and hcs.

Like saying "we are happy with where Manning is at" could be full truth or it could be total GM speak.

Nobody will know till real games are being played which that is.

Demaryius Thomas might as well be wearing this: http://www.dowdlespo...51654-100-3.jpg My God this dude is amazing. Over the shoulder catches no problem...Manning trusts him. Went downfield to him in double coverage, no worries. Thomas could be top 10 special because of his work in vertical windows, size, strength, and speed. Dude skies for catches, plucks the ball out of the air, strong hands, and #### you 'my ball' mentality, really taken it to another level so far this offseason.
