Denver definitely got the better of that deal. To get those guys and only give up Cutler and Marshall? Brilliant.

I had a horrible nightmare last night....
I dreamt that I was on the Broncos and the entire team was walking down this mountain road, and there was a part of the road that was shaped kind of like a horseshoe and in the middle was a huge drop with a river underneath. Well, Kyle Orton was on one side and Peyton Manning was on the other and they were throwing passes back and forth across the gap. Orton threw a pass that was too low and Peyton bent over to try and catch it and lost his balance and fell 500 feet down into the river. The entire team went back to some building and waited for news on Manning and I was sitting on a couch next to Mike Vick when a call with Manning's fate came in. Kyle Orton took the call and was asked if he wanted to know if Manning was alive or dead and Orton said that he didn't want to know because he didn't want to tell the team... Then I woke up.

I can't disagree with knowmo that it has worked out nicely in the end for Denver though.

I'd still like to know what 'could have been' with Cutler/Marshall/Hillis and a coach that new what he was doing.

Me too. OTOH Marshall is a head case and Hillis gets broken pretty easily. We'll never know.

True... but, we had a great weapon with Hillis - the fact that McD found no use for him is a huge statement on his inabilities. Cutler is solid, sure he makes mistakes and isn't really fan-friendly, but he's good. Marshall... it's hard to fault them now for trading him.
