If you can't make the salaries work it would be good to get a replacement with upside at a low cost. I don't want it to happen, but I'll trust Presti to make the right decision. Wish I had as much faith in Pioli

OKC shut down San Antonio's drive and dish game, so the Heat has their work cut out for them.
But the Heat have playmakers though. SA not so much outside if Parker. I think OKC wins this series, but I do not see a sweep. First team to win on the road wins the series in my opinion.

It might be all talk but I have read the Thunder has already said they are willing to go into the luxury tax to keep the team together. You could have dynasty and make money hand over fist so it might be worth it.

Former Thunder assistant general manager and current Bobcats GM Rich Cho is trying to get back one of the picks he helped out on. Via Jeff Goodman of CBSSports.com, Charlotte is targeting James Harden and dangling the No. 2 pick as bait.

The Charlotte Bobcats are eyeing the possibility of dealing the No. 2 overall pick in a trade that would bring a more established player, multiple sources told CBSSports.com.

Rod Higgins and Rich Cho understand that the Bobcats need more than just a talented rookie, whether it be Bradley Beal, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Harrison Barnes, Thomas Robinson or even Andre Drummond — to make the Bobcats competitive from their laughingstock of a season.

One source said that Oklahoma City’s James Harden could be in play due to the Thunder’s salary situation following next season. GM Sam Presti already has Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook on the books for more than $29 million next season — and both Harden and Serge Ibaka will command huge contracts after the 2012-13 campaign.
you can't have 3 max perimeter players...trade Harden, keep Ibaka

gilchrist/beal/robinson for cheap...keep the machine rolling

James Harden is 3rd in the league in win shares per 48 minutes (tied with Durant actually and behind LeBron/Paul). He's quite literally one of the best players in basketball, but he's sort of hidden and undervalued on the bench in OKC. I wouldn't make such a trade if I was them. The guys that are going to be there (TRob, Kidd-Gilchrist, Beal) don't project to be anywhere near as good as him in the NBA.

Definitely worth it. You can't be trading Harden away for rookies who might not even prove to be anything more than NBA role players.

Durant is the type of player that will drive others to want to play with him for their chance to win a title. IMO Hardin is better off where he is at. He is effective in part because of the talent around him. Charlotte has no way to hold onto Hardin if they trade for him. Hardin is not a LaBron that can win with no talent around him. Ibaka might be able to make more elsewhere, but for what he does, he will never be worth the contract. He too is not someone to build around, more like Tyson Chandler.

Kidd-Gilchrist would be tempting.
