Peyton is at no greater risk to injury than any other QB. Actually, he is probably the least likely starting QB in the NFL to get injured this year. The guy gets the ball out quicker than anyone in the league and has been the least sacked QB in the league almost every year that he has played.

Peyton has thrown 16 and 17 picks the last two years he played...and that was on colt teams where everyone was fluid in the system .
Missing a full year and having all the neck/nerve issues will bump that number up...as will the team changing systems, timing being off, chemistry, etc. Going from 17 picks to 20 isn't unrealistic or "hope"...it's an objective "educated guess" |

This is just my guess, but I think Manning will play three more years, and the most productive will be the second year. I don't think he'll ever have an average Colts type year again, that he'll be good but not great. One maybe two playoff appearances, but no superbowl.
