there is not one professional athlete that

given the choice to have a career in the NBA or NFL

would choose the NFL

IT LITERALLY DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. NONE.

I've already outlined this for you. If you want to plug your ears and scream "la la la la la" to yourself, that is fine.

I'm not ignoring anything. You are ignoring everything EXCEPT the point you think you've made. Shit, if its just about money, career length, and the like... Every NBA player would be playing golf or baseball.

Ben Gordon makes more guaranteed money than any player in the NFL right now.

I don't really even know why I argue this anymore...Jimmy Graham proves my point. The next Jimmy Graham will come along sooner than later and again prove my point.

playing receiver in the NFL is not cerebral

you need to run fast and jump high...and understand how to run a route (which would be the only learning curve)

it's not ****ing rocket science

should I remind you...DeSean Jackson plays in the NFL
Jon Baldwin has hand-eye coordination, height, speed, and agility. He had enough of all of those to be drafted in the first round. He also knows how to run routes. If those are the only requirements to EXCELLING at receiver in the NFL, then why does he suck?

Now please shut the **** up.

Wrong.

NBA players still make more money than MLB players.

and I would never make the argument anyone could go out and just pwn golf.

although guys like MJ are scratch golfers because as long as you have the time, the $, and the athletic ability...you can teach yourself how to golf.

Jon Baldwin is a football player. He isn't a basketball player. When did he ever play basketball?

NBA players are the best athletes in America. Pretty sure Derrick Rose (pre knee)...a guy with absolute INSANE agility and quickness...could play in the NFL.

Why?

hey did I mention DeSean Jackson plays in the NFL?

Even though I agree about many NBA players being able to have success in the NFL, I still think the Lounge should be renamed Hootie's Law.

Are you ****ing reeruned? You stated that the only requirement to EXCELL at WR in the NFL were hand-eye coordination, speed, leaping ability, and the ability to run routes. Baldwin possesses all these traits, but still sucks as a WR. How can that be?

I realize I find myself in these arguments but JFC

I can't help it that I'm consistently right.

How can anyone watch an NBA game and think, "no, no he couldn't play receiver."

I don't think these people have ever played sports. Playing football is a HELL OF A LOT easier than playing basketball. Being good at football is easier than being good at basketball.

I, like everyone else in the world, LOVES watching football WAY MORE than basketball.

But there is not a sliver of doubt that it is harder to play basketball well than play football well. Unless you're an NFL QB.

Baldwin has speed?

and maybe he doesn't have the work ethic? I'm not sure.

Jon Baldwin isn't an NBA caliber athlete. Not even close.

Julius Peppers, #1 pick in the NFL, was a decent college hoops player...6th man for Carolina.

don't think he could have made the NBA though

The totality of your argument is this.
There are better athletes in the NBA than Desean Jackson.

Fantastic

sure

and if the NBA shut down and you could no longer make $ playing basketball

those athletes would take a LOT of NFL jobs
