Dear Friends,

I have a lot invested in ChiefsPlanet; time, emotion, sweat, money, but mostly just time.... Five years is quite a while and a very good run. I'm moving on to another opportunity, one I feel will enable us to more readily realize what had been my aspirations for ChiefsPlanet. I'll have media access, credibility, and the possibility of eventually doing this stuff fulltime.

Preferably, this is not "goodbye". I plan to see you at events, around town, Arrowhead, and on the other Chiefs site I'll be managing.

I've had a lot of mixed emotions coming to this decision. Literally, this has taken months. More than 6 months, actually. It's hard to leave a place you've helped to build from the ground up, but I've recently felt stagnant here - lots of frustration - I'm sure you've noticed. I invited AustinChief to come and bring the entire board along but he didn't really seem very interested. Don't take take that last statement as bashing Kyle. We're friends. We've always been friends. We're just not very effective partners, apparently. Therefore, I'm moving on to a site that will become THE place for Chiefs news heading forward.

I'll try to answer questions about it in this thread, but I really don't know how long Kyle will indulge me. As soon as I submit this thread, I'm terminating my admin access.

Oddly enough, I'm not going to spam ChiefsPlanet to pimp the new digs. You'll find us. The Internet is a small place.

With Warmest of Regards,

Phil "Phobia"

Damn, bummer

Fair thee well old friend.

What can I say that hasn’t been said or thought by almost everyone here?
Nothing really, other than give my 2 cents.
Phil, you’ve been a friend, tormenter, and voice of reason here at the planet.
And where ever you go your sure to bring the same qualities you’ve brought here.
Too often board moderators react to situations the way “they” see fit. Or how “they interpret” a situation based on “their” values etc.
Never once, in my opinion, since I made my first post 5 years ago have you done that.
You’ve taken no shit, but only ever gave back the same amount dished at you.

Good luck with the new endeavor.
I can’t say for sure if I’ll check it out, I mean it’s taken me 5 years at this place just not get told to F**K off the min I pop in

Sweet!

I started at CBS sportsline and then went to the Star board in about 98 or so...

I missed the Star Board, was only on the CBS board for a couple of months, long after you left. It was the AFC West section ripping on Raider fans.

Maybe they don't want some of us oldtimers over there. Logical was registered, Frazod, and a couple of others posted that their usernames were taken. I swear the first time I went there was yesterday.

Geez people. Phil was just part of the planet. He wasn't THE planet.

albeit, he was a large part of the planet and it's daily function. Yet, with saying that, this is alot like when a great employee leaves for a differnt job. There is always the intial reaction of what is going to happen, can you replace that person. But, in the end you always find out, everyone is replacable.
