Madden NFL 09

Who is going to get this when it comes out???? Last year's version was really disappointing so I will be sure to rent Madden 09 first before buying it.

Picking the game back up again after a few years of not playing. Won the last two games. Having a hard time running it, but ok on the passing.

ok after playing this...

I've decided it's a turd.

its not fun to play at all, period. The game lags, the animations suck, at first I felt it was a governor to make it more realistic and maybe it is, but it sucks the life right out of it

I truly find no joy playing it, doesn't seem like strategy when you have to overcome crap game and then your opponent

I shall probably put my copy up for sale on ebay and continue ncaa
Madden makes me appreciate it more

I have to say I agree......again. I can bear playing a little more now, but the fun factor is just murdered.

NCAA is just too slow with it's gameplay. I've always HATED that game, not because of the animations or anything else, just because of the gameplay. Never tried Madden on the next gen systems, but it doesn't sound like I want to waste my money. I haven't really read anybody that really likes the game.

EA will and has been behind 2k in animations for a while, but i do think Madden is a decent game. I like it more then the NCAA demo thats for sure. What i dont like is the play books are so limited. I guess coming from APF where you had 500 or so plays will do that.

Going to play some more after some olympics. I am almost ready to go online. Just getting used of all the presnap features. Takes some getting used off. Almost there. The Chiefs have a good offense for quick plays. 3 star players on offense is nice.

lol, thats the only team i will use. I know they suck, but i cant sell out and play with another team unless its doing a online league because well only 1 player can have a team.

I played New England offline mind you on all pro and i hung in there for a bit the score was 24-14. One thing that pisses me off in Madden games is the super jump by the linebackers for the interception.

I have my custom settings. My offense is All-pro or better and my D is Pro.

Just kicked the shit out of the Pats on their home turf. No sacks but someone was always in Brady's face to force 3 INT's. Final score 27-7

And DJ is a beast on the run defense.

I will admit that the Pats got a good chunk of yards by just throwing under and into the middle of the field. (I generally play cover 2 or 2 man under. And if I blitz it's a zone blitz.)

I'm getting used to the game for this year.

I love having the line shift option back, but I miss being able to jump the line of scrimmage like last years to get that slight edge on the DL pass rush.

If you talking about against the CPU then Whoopty do. It doesn't mean jack. You have to really blow to lose to the cpu.

everytime i am going to win an online game it ****in kicks me off..I wonder if there is a way to kick someone off when your playing against them because I think that's what is happening..I know last year there was.
