Falcons after Gonzalez

Sorry if re-post, didn't see it anywhere.
http://www.rotoworld.com/content/pla...rt=NFL&id=1331

The Falcons are reportedly interested in trading for Chiefs TE Tony Gonzalez.
The National Football Post's Michael Lombardi says the Falcons are "seriously considering" the option, with their second-round pick as bait. Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt is attached to his franchise icon, but he might be convinced to part ways as the team rebuilds.

Atlanta has the 55th pick in the second. Maybe Jarron Gilbert or Paul Kruger although I'd rather see Tony stick it out here.

****, forgot Bradley. Get a legit #1 receiver in here, and that's potentially a great 5 receiver set.

He could be injury prone just the same as he may not be, we're not talking Brodie Croyle here.

A legitimate #2 would eliminate the need to rely so heavily upon Gonzo.

Now if someone wants to throw out injury prone for Bradley, that'd be accurate.

I hate that shit too. Unless it's done in "Jerkitude", a drive-by is worthless.

If Bowe spends some time in the offseason with a ****ing Juggs machine..he IS a legit #1.

Right now, he's a great #1 for this franchise, but he's still play second fiddle on quite a few teams..but if he gets rid of the dropsies...he'll be a great WR for years to come.

Indeed. I think after watching some tape Haley will be on his ass about that.
I expect to see big changes in Bowe this season.

Bowes a fine player but this is a year where we'd be best served to try to get a WR, it's a very good WR draft...

I certainly hope so.

I like the guy as much as anyone, and I really love how physical he can be..but he's got the T.O. syndrome right now.

Agreed.
WR-rich Draft class.
I'd definitely go there early.

Crabtree, Maclin, DHB, Robiskie, etc.
We could be set for years to come.

As much as he did for Fitzgerald (a guy who was pretty damn special beforehand)... I think he can do the same for Bowe.

Yes it would. Shame, too. The kid seems to be able to play. I remember him tearing it up at Oklahoma, too.

The only reason I don't see Bowe as a #1 is his aparent lack of breakaway speed. However, that may just be the way they utilized him in the routes he ran. As for his dropsies, I am thinking (hoping) he had a bit of a sophomore slump with the dropsies. Gonzalez had a shitlaod his second year too, iirc.

You didn't even throw out the guy who I think is the lock to be a top of the line player at the position.
