I didn't even notice the pants. And the chessboard is pretty interesting, too. Wow, do I need to rewatch a 3rd time?

Really going to be pissed if Skyler or Jesse kills Walt.
This nonsense about him being evil incarnate is utter bullshit.
Neither of them are innocent.

I hope everyone but the kids wind up dead.

Nobody in this thread has claimed that Walt is "evil incarnate". That's a pure straw man.

I, and others, have said we can't root for a guy who is a sociopathic murderer, which he is, for the most part.

If you're talking about evil incarnate, I think Todd's uncle Jack fits that description perfectly. He is one evil mother****er with no redeeming qualities. Walt isn't that.

I think the real genius of this show is the complexity of Walt's character and the fact that you can still identify with him even after all of the horrible things he has done. That really struck me as I was re-watching the scene in Ozymandius where Walt and Skyler were wrestling over the knife, rolling around on the floor, and screaming hysterically at each other. When Walter Jr. jumped on Walt's back, put his arm around his neck, pulled Walt off of Skyler, and called the cops, that had to be Walt's low point of the entire series. Yet I found myself actually feeling sorry for Walt because everything had turned out far worse than his worst nightmare could have predicted. That was probably the point where he wished for the first time that he had never made the decision to break bad.

This show is pure genius. I'm sad that it's almost over, and yet it has to end, because it had a story to tell and the telling is 98% complete.

In the finale I expect to see Jesse holding a gun on Walt. Walt will be begging and pleading for mercy, just like he always does. You'll see flashbacks of Jane choking on her own vomit, the shot of Lily of the Valley in Walt's garden, and probably a few other things.

Jesse will say "Too late, Bitch" and pull the trigger. (Fade to black, roll credits.)

Can definitely see this happening, except I think Walt will be uncharacteristically at ease. He will almost smile and simply close his eyes to accept the end that he feels he ultimately deserves.

That's how I see it. I think he knows it's inevitable and him getting out of the whole thing alive with he and his family riding off into the sunset isn't going to happen. So I keep thinking when the show ends, Walt will know he deserves his fate and will accept it.

especially (if I recall correctly?) that his cancer IS back. At that point, Jesse would be essentially doing him a favor. Walt realizing his entire family is gone on top of all the awful things he has had to do and reflect upon for years while battling more cancer? He should be ready to eat a bullet.

The cancer is back, but on the flashforward in the season premiere his hair is back too so that tells me that either he goes into remission or never had it back to begin with, and used it to manipulate people. He tried to manipulate Hank to get him to back off, in the confrontation scene in the garage. He told him it was back and it wasn't worth persuing because he would be dead soon.

I, personally, don't want that the be the excuse if/when Walt meets his end. To me that's the easy way out for him and he doesn't deserve it. But however it ends, I think it'll be good.

Or, he had a recurrence and decided not to pursue treatment.

Hmmm...good point, he would still have his hair with no chemo.

Didn't think about that.
