Show me any time in the history of the NFL that any player has been ejected for a face mask committed during a play. Or are you saying that this particular face mask was so unprecedentedly bad as to merit the first ever ejection for a face mask, in the super bowl? And while you're at it, why don't you show me the rule that allows an ejection for face masking based in purported "nastiness."

Maybe not for a facemask, but trying to break someone's neck could be grounds for ejection.

I absolutely believe he should have been ejected. There was definite intent when he tossed him around like that by his face mask. Any intent to harm should be automatic ejection from the game, imo. For that shit to be a measly 1 yard penalty is just a joke.

He's a hot head who sometimes allows the interest of his team to take a back seat to his own questionable impulses. I was surprised we didn't see DeMarcus or someone take him aside after the tantrum he had out there tonight. I guess they knew what they were doing because Talib seemed to find his own way to get his shit back together and get his head back in the game.

I haven't watched basketball in a couple of decades, so I don't know the rules. Do they eject players for flagrant fouls now?

Penalties that are half the distance but cause harm should have greater impact
I don't know if targeting is the answer like in college but something needs done to stop these cheap shots The patriot "block" on our player cost them 2 yards but could have knocked out player out Talib is just a dirty beaker anyway so I expect face masks and late hits but same thing applies here |

I don't watch it either but there's a flagrant 1 and a flagrant 2. Any player which is given a flagrant 2, which is basically what Talib did tonight, is immediately ejected and I think they also get a 1 game suspension.
