AND THEN THE ZAPRUDER FILM COINCIDES WITH WHAT THE MAYANS WROTE AND STONEHENGE WAS IN THE RIGHT POSITION....

I think Scott has stumbled on to a subject that resonates very well with people in general, hence all the speculation. Honestly, it would be awesome if he really is trying to tie all of his legacies together in such a manner, but I just don't know if that was the end game. Hopefully so, but I'll wait for conformation.

Ridley KNEW people would start talking about Replicants. HE KNEW IT. He put that line in there as a wink and a nod. I SEE IT SO CLEARLY WITH MY INNER EYE.

SHIT, do you remember the foreshadowing from The Matrix?

"10 straight hours...he's a machine."

RIDLEY SCOTT IS AWESOME

I can see this now after seeing it twice. She had a medical bay thing configured in HER quarters for a male only (of course for weyland) but why not her? Also when she got out of the sleeping chamber she never hurled or got sick.

Even if she is a replicant, the question is "so what?" It really has no bearing on the story at all, other than it's a flimsy thread that ties two Ridley Scott movies together. Would it be as exciting if there was a reference to Thelma and Louise?

I keep waiting to see her show up in one of the viral Weyland videos. That could I think be an effective 'oh shit' moment.

I had no idea there was a post credits teaser image. I left right away. Apparently leads to http://whatis101112.com/ which includes the following:

I could swear I stayed to the very end of the credits, and I didn't see that. I did catch the Weyland 10/11/12 deal, though.

the talk continues, even Grantland gets in on it...a long convo about all the Alien movies, lots of interesting background on the various directors and writers that I was unfamiliar with:

http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/...lien-franchise

Quote:
WITZKE: The way this movie came together is interesting — Dan O'Bannon was coming off working on the destined-to-fail Alejandro Jodorowsky version of Dune, where he was head of the art and design department. He and Ron Shusett write the script together because they want to do a movie with the same team Jodorowsky had put together for Dune, so Moebius, Syd Mead, Chris Foss, Ron Cobb, and H.R. Giger are all in the mix as the ideas for the script are being developed. Walter Hill and David Giler buy it, maybe do a massive rewrite — pretty much everyone says they added the Ash-attacks-Ripley/android-bukkake scene. So by the time Ridley Scott comes into the situation it's already been developed by this team of stylists with strong sensibilities. You've got the Euro-comics visuals from the designers, this amazing Freudian/biomechanical creature design from Giger and built by Carlo Rambaldi, O'Bannon and Shusett bringing in hokey '50s sci-fi tradition, Hill's trademark no-bullshit leanness, and then Scott comes in with this lush commercial-trained style.

Just got back from seeing it. I liked it alot, but liked the setup and the first 2/3s better than the last 3rd or so. I thought the last 15 minutes was just a simplistic monster movie.

Im also sort of tired of the open ended movies that fail to tell a complete story and leave you wanting more..but hey, thats a Damon (Lost) Lindelof specialty now. Meh, ive tired of his little open ended games that never answer anything.

Extremely well made flick, the effects, production design, score, acting, costumes, direction, everything.........

Spoiler!
