Who is going to get this when it comes out???? Last year's version was really disappointing so I will be sure to rent Madden 09 first before buying it.

I think im gonna go away from offline play and start a franchise on all madden and import ncaa draft classes

That or having seriously played a EA football game in about 10 years. This is all foriegn to me. I went from Tecmo, to EA game, then when Gameday came out, it was all Gameday, then i went to Sega/2k games. Now EA has the only football game, so i decided to give it a try. Its decent, but not great or even good.

incase it hasnt been discussed, there is a problem with games being disconnected online and happens when you or the other person is kicking a field goal, or right after

from what I've read it only happens in ranked games

when I started playing it i was like it is not good but not bad
the more I played it the more I found wrong with it
I really can't remember playing a game of 09 that was good even remotely

Wow, just got done beating the Patriots. I am the Chargers of Course. Here's how the game went.

I kickoff to the Patriots, they drive down the field in 1:30 and score a TD

They Kickoff to me, and I run all over them with LT, and eventually put the ball in the endzone with a screen pass to LT. Time of Possesion 5:40

I kickoff to them, on their first play I User Pick it w/ Cromartie, and I'm setup on their 28.

After 2 runs for a total of 1 yard, I go to Gates through the air, he breaks a tackle, TD. Time of Possesion 1:30

I kickoff to them, on their first play I user pick it w/ Clinton Hart. I get a first down, but fail to put it in, kick a FG, 17-7 at Half.

The second half I didn't do anything offense wise, save a couple 1st downs.

On their first drive, they got an 80 yard TD pass to Randy Moss, making it 17-14.

On their next drive, they drive down to about my 40, then I pick it w/ Matt Wilhelm, and run out the clock. They got one last drive with about 20 seconds left, but couldn't do anything.

I won 17-14.

Stat of the Game

Time of Possesion: Chargers - 14:40 / Patriots - 5:20

how can u control the corner? i cant even see the corners or recievers they are too far out..and i have a 42" widescreen

I know there's some that are tired of hearing me say this, but after 8 games on line, I still say I'm PISSED about the quality of this game. I was really hoping for a fun game. It's just not.

I'm looking forward to the online season. At least the competition with you guys, and me having the Chiefs will make it enjoyable.

Well you can go to them pre-play, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I did this by switching to the corner after the pass was thrown, and I got into the proper position.

Its easier to intercept if you hold Triangle (or Y on Xbox Im assuming) than if you just tap it.

I wish EA's game had sliders like the 2K games too. Still no game has been able to top 2K5 for all around greatness. Its time for EA to change animation engines or something. The thing is, they have no reason to not change anything. They own 99 percent of the football market. lol i put in 1 percent for APF. hah
