when I took the wife out last night this movie was featured on the pre movie entertainment. I'm a little more interested in it now just based on that.

Let's face it. I paid to see RDJr. interact with other superheroes and blow shit up. I was not disappointed. Best Hulk/Banner yet. Seeing it with a full audience was a lot of fun too. Worth every penny.

MIB3 looks terrible. The first one was good though.

If you're asking about the first post-credit scene, check out my post #334. It's most likely Thanos. No one knows for sure, nor do we know which future film he could be featured in, but as far as Marvel baddies go, he's one of the baddest. I'd prefer to see Doctor Doom put together his own team or something for the next film. I've always thought Thanos was Marvel's generic version of DC's much more interesting Darkseid. The infinity gauntlet is interesting and could tie into both Mandarin and Doom's stories, but I can't see how they'd pull it off without going to a Fantastic 4 level of cheese.

Thankfully, Mr. Nolan thinks 3D is pointless as well.

To me, size is most important (and I think Nolan feels likewise). Bigger is better. And when it's big and 3D, it's ****ing awesome when used right. "Avatar" in true giant-screen IMAX was a sight to behold. "Avengers" is likewise much improved. But, again, I'm talking giant screen, which isn't what most people have access to. I think if someone converted parts of "The Dark Knight Returns" to 3D and showed to Christopher Nolan in a full-sized IMAX, he'd feel differently about it. |

It might not ever play in IMAX 2D. Might just depend on where you live.
JD would know for sure, but i think MIB3 and Prometheus are the next movies that have IMAX screens booked. He said Dark Shadows is having to share some IMAX time right now.
