Geno throws an excellent long ball. It's a thing of beauty. But I don't know if he's ever going to get his head on straight enough to become an "elite" QB, which everyone seems to think we need.

Jeff George threw a nice long ball too.

He very well could end up being Jeff George, or even Jay Cutler, I will agree with that.

Geno has all of the arm talent a QB needs, he just has to learn how to limit his turnovers. Something most rookie QB's deal with.

The same thing all you Chiefs Homers saw Alex Smith do in his career. Dare you go back and look at his first few seasons TD/INT ratio?

As said a zillion times already on this forum by Geno supporters: Geno should be riding the Chiefs bench right now, learning as much as possible to replace Alex Smith when this team finds out he is just a stop gap.

Putting him into the starting lineup before he is ready is just asking for turnovers, and that is what is being done in New York. He will learn eventually, but he's going to take his lumps.

Once again, this is not GENO SMITH vs ALEX SMITH. It's GENO SMITH vs ERIC ****ING FISHER.

Although every time Geno throws an INT, some douchebag Geno hater is going to start a new thread claiming they were "right" about Geno.

So you think we should have taken a 2nd round QB at 1.1?

No GM/HC in the league is going to use 1.1 for a 2nd round QB. Hell, none of them would use any 1st round pick for him. That is just the way it is. Your dream is an unrealistic fantasy.

Would we not be 8-0 if Stephenson was playing RT and the Chiefs had Geno sitting behind Alex?

So you would do what no GM/HC would do and draft a 2nd round QB at 1.1? And you expect us to take you seriously?

I have no idea what I would do, honestly.

Additionally, who is this "us" and when did I ever state I expected to be taken seriously?

I still love you, my sweet chinchilla.

Well, considering it's not rocket science, making that argument in hindsight is pretty dumb. Twenty three GMs didn't want Aaron Rodgers, but like Geno, some people thought he was going to go much higher.

And it's not like striking out on a QB in the first round would doom the franchise any more than they have been for the past 40 years.

To a certain extent, who gives a shit if other teams need or want a player... not that I'm a huge Geno fan, even though I would have liked to see them try, if it was 1.1 or 3.1, but whatever.
