What's the longest we've ever had to put up with a terrible QB we didn't like? Grbac for 4 seasons? And hell, at least that dude put up a pretty good 2000 season.

Carl was a chickenshit reerun who never had the balls to draft a QB in the first round, but he at least he offered us different flavors of poop every few years.

I feel like a ****ing cat under the Pioli regime. We complain all day about wanting food. We see that Mittens down the street gets to eat tuna every ****ing day. When it's time to eat, Scott talks to us and tells us how pretty we are, then dumps the same stale ass shitty dry Science Diet crap Cassel cat food. The same shit. Every day. Then says, "Isn't that gooood?"

If they don't then they don't know what there talking about.
I have spoken highly of FormerDB since Stanzi was in middle school.

I'm talking about preseason games

If it's a level playing field, Stanzi will get as much time with the 2s as Quinn did last week, right?

How does that matter. If you throw an accurate ball to anyone's hands, and they can't catch it, it does not matter how good or bad the defense is when the receiver beats himself.

The reason's I don't particularly like Stanzi are:

1) His supporters are ridiculously over the top with their praise.
2) I didn't think he played smart at Iowa. It seems like he makes very stupid plays, he actually reminds me of Bono. His under throw on the deep ball was atrocious. Looked like Cassel at his worst. The incomplete pass on the sideline route was pretty good, the fade throw wasn't. The over the top guys think both were awesome.
3) Very inconsistent, kind of goes with point 2. It is hard to tell if he makes dumb decisions or is inaccurate. Either way he doesn't look good. I hope they are dumb decisions, those can be fixed and maybe he will be good in a few years. Right now he is not.

I don't like Quinn, but agree with the sentiment that Cassel's ceiling isn't high enough. Brady has the highest ceiling of the three and his floor is higher than Stanzi's, albeit lower than Cassel's.

How about if the sideline route that should have been caught? 4-7 for 80-100 yds and a TD in the air while leading the team to another setting up a rushing TD with his feet for 7 yds and a first down?
You failed to mention that part about the scrubs on defense that he was playing against as well. My point is to say that you can't compare the QBs based on their performaince in a pre-season game because they are playing with and against different levels of players. I hope Stanzi turns out to be the next Montana, but the fact that he can't beat out Brady freakin Quin for the backup role tells me that he is nowhere near as good as Cassel.

Stanzi could have been 6 of 7 and should have been 5 of 7 with a td.

Did some of you even watch the game and not just look at the stat line? Explain to me how Stanzi had such a bad night, when he made 1 bad throw.

Oh shit. You just put up the LA Chieffan signal. He'll be here in a matter of minutes.

But then the following practice, all we hear about is the ball being thrown into the ground.
FROM FESCOE! Stop listening to that asshole. He makes it seem as though every passing terrible b/c he fails to mention Stanzi's name when he makes a play.

Besides that, who cares how he plays in practice as long as he plays well on Sundays?

How exactly was the deep ball so atrocious? Was it a great throw? No. Was it atrocious? No.

The was exactly where you are supposed to throw it. Up and out where your wr either makes the play or no one does.

The Chiefs could have been a superbowl contender with Todd Haley and Ricky Stanzi.

I should have been more specific, I was talking about the one that was short.

I thought comparing him to Cassel would rule out overthrowing somebody.
