Food everyone else loves, but you think is overrated

Just thinking about foods that everyone else seems to think is the greatest thing ever, and you just don't get...

Me: Nutella. I'd never tried it until today when someone at the grocery store had samples of those little snack packs. So I tried it. It's not bad, but it's certainly overrated.

So I'm trying to think of other things like this. What do you have for me?

Moscato. Disgusting swill that is consumed by the same brand of morons who treat ranch dressing as a condiment.

Try using the powdered popcorn seasoning on it.

I just season mine with salt/white pepper/garlic/onion on a light coating of olive oil.

God ****.

One time my wife's sister and her kids came out. So I was nice and cooked them some downright ****ing beautiful steaks. ****ing beautiful. So I'm had to refill the water so I'm in the kitchen after the kids had eaten a couple bites of the steak and my wife grabs the ranch and says, "don't freak out."

I held it together through the meal, then I melted down. JFC. I should have just grilled up a flank steak or something shitty instead of a great freaking ribeye, if all they're going to use it for is a ****ing avenue to consume ranch. ****ing ****. ****.
OK, many will inform you that is you think flank steak is bad, you're not gilling it right. Nobody will argue that it's the most tender, but that's hardly the measure a greatness or a hotdog would win!

If you're feeding ribeye to folks that stress you putting something on it, you might want to read the chuckeye threat and lower your stress level a bit.

But hell, I get mad if folks put salt and pepper on stuff, so I guess frustration can be variable too..

OK, my entry.. "A great single malt Scotch." No matter where it's made, how expensive it is, the history of the barrel that was forcefully drafted into service to make it taste less bad - Scotch blows. Much like whiskey.. Straight, on the rocks, with a dash of water....no matter how it's just not good. At best it's a status symbol. I can only think of one good use for it and that's putting it into water from a source you're not sure about in hopes that it kills any bacteria and parasites that might kill you via the shits.

See, I'm sure others will disagree...
You know when you pour that last Kingsford charcoal on a windy day and you breath in some dust? That taste is what Scotch to me tastes like.

Ill take a nice single barrel bourbon like Elijah Craig 10 yo. Or a Buffalo Trace not the most expensive but good. With just a spask of water or course.

Night before. But yeah, they take time. Left over brown rice is a decent cereal too. Or you can grind brown rice in a blender for a cereal that doesn't take too long to cook.
