Richard Sherman might be the biggest douche in the NFL

What a childish douche.

You think it's because he's black? That's a pretty myopic and ignorant viewpoint.

It's because he's an egotistical prick. His skin color has nothing to do with it.

He's disrespecting his co-workers, his team and belittling the Seahawks win as he's making it all about him versus his team.

The guy is a douche. It's irrelevant that he's black, white, green or fuchsia, he's simply a prick.

Just wondering what insight you have that makes you sure it is just white middle class America?

Seems to me there are opinions both ways all over the country. Trying to make your point by using one BB really doesn't help your case.

And just for your edification...I find Wes Welker just as big a douche. My disgust isn't based on race, creed, religion, sexual orientation or anything else but the actions of the individual.

Meh. I found it mildly annoying at the time, but more silly than anything else. This is worse and funnier:

Seriously what makes someone classy?

Having no view, saying what's PC? Not saying what they really think because it might just offend someone? Just being cliched because it's the easy thing to do? Acting like a robot because that's easier and no one will get mad?

This PC world we live in ****ing sucks and I'm tired of anyone saying anything getting labeled as classless it's annoying as ****.

At this point I think class is nothing more than a word used to describe players who quite frankly don't have personality or would just rather not be noticed. Peyton Manning isn't classy he's just boring.

Yeah, OK, I agree with that point. But I also have to say that the classroom is not nearly the testosterone-fueled hyper-competitive violent competition setting that the football field is. The same factors that result in the play that football fans cheer for also result in emotional, competitive post-game interviews.

Even if I wasn't the kind of person to find Sherman delightfully entertaining, I don't think I would blame him for not having an instantaneous cool-down after the game. Football fans are entertained by that level of drive and energy. That it came out on camera because of the arbitrary nature of getting a player interview immediately after the game ends vs waiting until journalists can access the locker room doesn't bother me. I would find myself a bit hypocritical if it did.

Yeah Sherman's co-workers sure seemed "disrespected" as they were hugging him for making the play that essentially helped send Seattle to the Super Bowl.

You are exposing yourself to be a sanctimonious dumbshit with every subsequent post in this thread.

Are you speaking on behalf of Sherman's team mates now? Name one team mate who has openly said they are disrespected from Sherman's actions yesterday.

Name one.

True. But convention says you keep that between the two of you, not bring it to the media. However, Sherman has shown he's not "conventional." I flip back and forth between thinking what he did was douchy and hilarious. It's a little of both.

His crying about Crab pushing him reminds of when in highschool I was playing PE soccer. Our teacher wasn't watching the play and this dude handballed on purpose. I grabbed the ball to set it and the dude started yelling at the teacher that I handballed. I bounced the ball off the back of his head. I don't play that shit.

I was just attempting to make an objective input to the discussion in response to Mecca's comment that insinuated that Richard Sherman was the smartest man in football because, perhaps, as Flopnuts pointed out, that he went to Stanford.

And because Stanford purportedly has a more stringent acceptance/entrance policy than your standard state college, I'm assuming that they are assuming that means that people that go to Stanford must be ten time smarter than the average college student.

Oh that is part of it. It is plain as day. I'm more talking about stuff I've seen on social media than here on CP, but race is a factor.
