I've been wondering why we Mizzou fans don't have one of these.

However, when the shots aren't falling (some days they won't be) and when there are big guys inside willing to stay home, block the passing lanes and force awkward shots (welcome to the blueprint), they need to figure out what they're going to do about it.

Yesterday they just seemed to just go looking for a bigger hammer when that square peg refused to fit. Worse still, when the offense wasn't working, their defensive intensity just collapsed.

There are going to be games where it's tough for them to score like they usually do. I'm hoping they'll learn that Plan C should probably involve turning the defensive intensity WAY up and trying to tire their opponent out on the offensive end to create some easier scoring chances.
They utilize an inside-out game too, but I think they were afraid to do that too often against the seven footer.

Teams with talented tall front likes (Like Baylor) may be a big problem for Mizzou down the road. If the outside shooting goes cold, Mizzou can be in big trouble fast.

But yes, they are fun to watch. They are fast, defend well, pass well, play unselfish ball, just a blast to watch. Looking forward to when conference play starts.
Ratliffe was on the bench with two fouls while we built up that 14 point lead. Moore was a defensive stopper in the paint last night. Mizzou also isn't dependent on the three. They have been a good, not great three point shooting team this season. Their ability to move the ball to get the open shot, whether it has been a two footer, eight footer, fifteen footer, or twenty footer, has been the key to Their offensive success. We built the lead last night driving to the hoop and getting fouled. We lost it when our PGs stopped running the offense.

I think last night showed that the only thing that will beat the Tigers is the Tigers themselves. They were vastly superior to the opponent last night, and have been compared to all their opponents this year. Got all the tools, just got to see if Haith can put it all together

A little adversity always helps, that looked like what a road game in the Big 12 will look like.

Yep. Once they lost the lead there at the end, I honestly didn't expect them to pull it out. English's "and one" was HUGE.

Baylor got bailed out by the refs at the end of regulation. The ref with the perfect angle didn't call the foul, but the other one called it VERY late.

Louisville's about to go down at home. Mizzou will be moving up.

Otto Porter had a monster game. Good to see that he helped Mizzou after all.
