Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

Cleaning the Mosin now. I have the bold and all the metal bits soaking in carburator cleaner overnight. scrubbed a ton of surface rust off and have some cosomline to clean off the bottom of the barrel.
Gonna run the stock under some hot water with some degreaser and give it a once over as well. Oil up the stock afterwards and I may have her prettied up a bit by tomorrow. |

The AK pattern shotguns are pretty badass. Reliable but not quite the AK eat all the dirt you want reliability. I can't wait to get it back into 3-gun shape....too bad they had to make it less sporting to enter the country as a 'sporting' shotgun! I've actually got a line on an original Molot VEPR-12 folding stock, but if I want to use it I'll have to jump through even more 922 hoops. Yay! Gotta love the VEPR-12 designed to be a 3-gun sport shooting shotgun and then neutered to bring it into this country as a 'sporting' shotgun!
LOL my new Sig MK25 is more hammer than gun right now since I still have yet to pick up 9mm ammo since I haven't had one in a while lol. Damn craziness hope this crap ends in a couple months!

Hopefully VEPR fixed the bolt catch pin problem. It has pissed off many people on the Saiga 12 platform, including my brother.

Been cleaning the Mosin. The stock is as clean and nice as it is gonna get. It is a FAR cry better than when I got it. The mold smell has been replaced by lemon courtesy of several scrubbings with lemon scented grease removing dish soap then several coatings of old english.

well being a 12 gauge I'm sure it can take a big clip out of someone's rear end if it wanted to!

I've actually been toying with the idea of getting a tactical shotgun.
How much would you say you have in something like what you have, CrazyPhuD? |

First time I'd heard about this was today...great idea.
Virginia Beach pizza shop owner shows support for gun rights by giving gun owners a discount VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A Virginia Beach pizza shop owner is showing his support for firearm rights by giving gun owners a 15 percent discount. The discount is given to anyone who brings a gun or concealed handgun permit to All Around Pizzas and Deli. Owner Jay Laze tells news media outlets that he’d planned on offering the discount for a limited time. But he says the response has been overwhelming and he might make it permanent. Since the discount began last Friday, Laze says 80 percent of his customers have brought guns into the pizza shop. He says one customer came in with an AK-47. Laze is a gun owner and says he’s always been a supporter of the right to carry firearms. Copyright 2013 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
