I don't think it's a stupid move to make at all. The Redskins are ****ed the next 2-3 years no matter who's QB. But if RGIII pans out, by year 3 or 4, they have a franchise QB and we may not.

The Skins made a move that they hope will work out for the next 10 years. I think they know they aren' tlikely to win in the next year or two, but hopefully when RGIII is ready they have picks and are ready to go.
It's a risky move, but it could pay off huge. |

It's an aggressive move. No question. But I'd rather be sitting here with RGIII in the fold and no firsts in '13 and '14 than waiting around for the next dingleberry to fall from The Tree, with Cassel tending the flock in the meantime. |

They aren't going to be able to surround him with good players. And you don't ask a rookie QB to carry a team. That's a recipe for disaster. It's a stupid ****ing move. You just got busted for violating the cap rules, and you've got no other high round picks to surround him with. You've got no WR's, no backs, and a shit offensive line. And some of you think this is a good move, and you make fun of Pioli? Jesus titty ****ing christ.......... |

When has trading this much for a QB never worked?

We have one example, with a far lesser prospect. |

That's the one I thought of too. The Broncos traded a little to get Tebow. The most recent major jump I can remember is the Falcons coming up for Roddy White. They jumped up like 20 spots but I can't remember what they gave up to do that. I know he isn't a QB, but didn't the Falcons also get shutout in the playoff this year?

They swapped first rounders, plus a second and fourth last year, and a first and fourth this year. Great player, though. |

Didn't see the bengals sale out their future to pick up either green or dalton. There's no reason why Griffen couldn't turn into another quarterback with post tramatic stress syndrome because he's on a stinky redskin team with no offensive line or playmakers for the next five years. Leagues littered with quarterbacks that had potential but got thrown into the fire and took giant beatdowns.
No reason for a team to put somebody into this situation unless they're Dan Snyder and the ferret. |

Jones it was, thanks. Hard to believe all that for a WR. For a QB like RGIII, 2 firsts and a second is nothing.

I still don't understand why we're arguing about compensation that isn't even close to what the Chiefs would have had to offer.
