At this point I think class is nothing more than a word used to describe players who quite frankly don't have personality or would just rather not be noticed. Peyton Manning isn't classy he's just boring.

It's about having grace and dignity, even in a competitive environment. It's about winning and understanding that it could have easily have been you on the other side of the coin and treating someone with the same respect and temperament that you would wish to be treated with. It's about being gracious and humble in victory as well as defeat.

That's having class.

Richard Sherman did not display such things.

In fact, he made it a point to go out of his way to be everything but.

How about acting like you are the best at what you do? The best don't have to make a spectacle of themselves to prove they are...they just get it done. Once again...I don't mind attitude. And I will say it again....Sherman disrespected another player and I'm not talking about Crabtree. The choke sign he pulled on Kaepernick was classless enough for me....what he and Crabtree have going in their personal lives should never have manifested itself on the field.

Part of me wishes that Manning would throw 4 TD's on Sherman...but the SeaHawks still win 31-28 on a last minute field goal from the 25 yard line after a 40 yard pass that Wilson completes over Champ Bailey.

Even if I wasn't the kind of person to find Sherman delightfully entertaining, I don't think I would blame him for not having an instantaneous cool-down after the game. Football fans are entertained by that level of drive and energy. That it came out on camera because of the arbitrary nature of getting a player interview immediately after the game ends vs waiting until journalists can access the locker room doesn't bother me. I would find myself a bit hypocritical if it did.

Oh don't think I don't find it a bit stupid that they would go to Sherman that quickly knowing how emotional he is. That is Fox knowing how to capitalize..

I don't disagree that the football field is somewhat different than the classroom...although I sat in a class once that seemed to be nothing more than a stadium for the teacher and a student to debate each other. I was lucky that I was just auditing the class, and most of the material was nothing new to me, but I felt bad for the other people trying to learn.
