Let me explain this more slowly to you guys (I know you're not big sports guys): (had to throw in a BASEketball quote)

The reason why the best athletes in America play basketball is:

1) Guaranteed contracts. Ben Gordon signed a 5 year $55M GUARANTEED contract. He rides the bench on the worst team in the NBA.

2) Better quality of life. NBA players don't suffer 10 40 MPH car accidents per game.

3) Longer careers. Average NFL career is under 3 years. Juwan Howard still collects an NBA paycheck. I think he's 70.

He specifically stated TE and WR, so why are you guys trying to twist his argument into something it's not? His opinion is backed up by the great play of guys like Gonzo, Gates, and Graham who were marginal B-ball players at best, not the supreme athletes dominating the sport.

He's the exact point I was trying to make.

Jimmy Butler would have been the perfect NFL TE. But instead he's emerging in the NBA and will now probably make $50-$100 GUARANTEED million dollars over the duration of a career that can be 15 years.

and then he can live a long life with no long term health concerns

I never said an NBA player would transition to RB.

I said it is not hard to play RB in the NFL.

Which is why college players make the transition very easily.

It's a skill you either have or you don't have.

There is no learning curve. You run...and you run with instinct.

Jamaal Charles has great instinct and a great RB skillset.

It is not something you develop. You either have it, or you don't have it.
