Albert/Joeckel perspective

How would you feel if the Chiefs had the #2 overall pick and packaged it and Albert for Joeckel? Because that's what the Chiefs are on the brink of doing.

#1 pick = 3000 points
#54 pick = 360 points

difference is 2640 points

#2 pick is worth 2600 points

Chiefs are going to invest 3000 - 360 = 2640 points to replace Albert with Joeckel. It could be a good deal for the Chiefs if 1) Albert is out of the league in two years, 2) Jockel is a HOFer and 3) the alternatives (like Geno) don't have very good careers.

Yeah, I understand that, but I don't think nastiness is quite as unteachable as height or speed.

Maybe to you its Joeckel. To some its Geno. To some its Jordan. To some its Fisher.

Just depends on who Dorsey has labeled as BPA.

Obviously.

Which iirc joeckel was lacking both over fisher at the combine.

But I also think a mentality isn't something easily teachable

Well according to some people on the KC Coaching staff they have Fisher labeled as better than Joeckel.

That's fine, but it's not unteachable.

Very few think it's Geno. Even the people saying he should be taken 1st overall are largely saying to do it because of positional value rather than BPA.

Doesn't add up.

There's nothing average about that.

I don't know. I also don't know how you teach footwork or how to recognize defenses.

We shape young minds in our military all the time so that would be one place to look for a good approach.

@mikejurecki: Hearing #Dolphins & Brandon Albert are negotiating a new contract. Dolphins would send one of their two second rounders to #Chiefs.

Apparently Albert is "average" according to his detractors around here, so I expect the rookie LT to come in and play immediately at his level next season, if not better.

PFF rankings from Albert's 2013 season and the rookie's will be compared weekly, and I will rip all of you homers apart from crotch to cranium.
