So can we cut Frenchy when Dyson returns, start Johnson over Getz permanently and send Moose to AAA? I guess Tejada can't really play full time.....

If we were talking about a .280 hitter, I dont think a change would be out of the question. But this shift is to get a .250 hitter in.
Meanwhile Tejada is batting .333, and a much simpler solution at 3rd (temporarily at least, I think we all hope that Moose figures something out in AAA, and quickly) Dyson is simply not worth any effort to get into the everyday lineup. He is average at best with one amazing tool (a tool that is probably a better fit off the bench for this team)

FTR any interest I have in Dyson is do to his speed. With an offense that is lethargic his ability to get extra bases and get into scoring position in general is a an asset. Outside of that I really do not care. I will gladly take Lough with Dyson as a pinch or give a rest to a guy player.

but so is saying something like 'the Royals are just better with Alex at leadoff' when...here is his #'s over the winning streak: 0-3 1BB 1-4 0-4 DNP 1-4 0-4 1-3 1BB 0-4 1BB 2-4 No. The Royals are better when their staff is pitching, 1-5, lights out...and the bullpen gives up NOTHING...they still aren't hitting, but when they do, it's in the clutch. Saying the team is better with Alex at leadoff because of this stretch is just so ****ing stupid I don't know know how else to address it. |

Alex is a good ****ing hitter. The Royals are going to benefit from him no matter where he hits. Personally, I think he's a 3 hitter on this team.
Salvy is hitting about .340 from the 3 hole. So if that is how it is, that is how it is, and keep Gordon at #1. It doesn't really matter when no one on their team can hit a homerun. If that's the case, then yeah, Alex should probably be at leadoff. |

Honestly, I think Gordon would be a perfect 2 hitter, but I don't think you guys have anyone else who can lead off.
