What is Chalmers supposed to be doing for the Heat?

Defense, hitting open shots, facilitating the ball. The things he did for them in past years (and during this year's regular season) that he's apparently incapable of doing now.

Well clearly LeBron is to blame, then. It only makes sense.

4th quarter was awful, but the game was over by then. Heck, it was over midway through the second. LeBron helped make it look halfway respectful. Well not half, but at least that's 28pts. He needs to get out.

LeBron should have been all five starters and a bench by himself this series. Jordan and Kobe would have done it!

No player is in MJ's class but that's another discussion. MJ's will, drive and competitiveness was unmatched. So much so that it was unhealthy. The closest to him (his competitive drive) was Kobe but by a wide margin. The best player in any sport I ever saw. It didn't matter how big, fast or stronger you were his will made him victorious. Dude was special. We won't see that again, but I hope we do. It would be great for sports. I'm old so I probably won't see it but it'd be nice.

Arguably, the only year LeBron had help was last year. It'd be a great story if he went back to Cleveland but I have a weird hunch he goes to LA.

In the three years that Kobe didn't have a 2nd HOF star on the team, the Lakers won 34, 45, and 42 games. I don't need to tell you what LeBron did with similar caliber rosters in Cleveland.

Jordan would have never had teammates that couldn't score at all, rebound, or play D! The fire in him was just too strong.

LeBron will leave Miami if there's an improved situation out there that gives him a better shot at winning a championship. And considering how much Wade and Bosh have dropped off, there should be. That place doesn't look like LA, though (unless it's the Clippers).

you mean in the East though right? A conference that has been ass since since the 90's? Go look at the competition back from hell 2005 (the year the lakers got completely gutted) then the following 2 years after that. The West was by far by far the dominate Conference. Year in and year out the east was lucky to have 3 50 win teams while the west was pulling at least 5.

The West is brutal. Its why i give the Spurs props for being elite over the years. Its not an easy task. its absolutely brutal.

The East wasn't anywhere near as bad in those years as it is now. You had the NBA champion Pistons, Dwight's Magic, and the NBA champion Celtics all as competition to a Cavs team that won 60+ games with LeBron and a bunch of scrubs. Anyway, I don't even know why I brought Kobe up. Beyond his competitiveness, he's not all that close to the caliber of a MJ or LeBron as a basketball player. Those two are a level above.

This and the fact that I'm a Bulls fan are the reasons why I root for Lebron to fail. The ignorance at comparing him to MJ is infuriating. Like you said he's the greatest athlete I've ever seen play team sports. He had a quality that is as rare as you can possibly get. It's insulting to compare Lebron to him.

Some would argue that it's insulting to LeBron to suggest that a player who was only better at scoring than him (and nothing else in the game of basketball) is at a place he could never reach (despite the fact that he's well on pace to do so in many areas).

Also, I bet that rooting for LeBron to fail thing changes if LeBron goes to the Bulls this summer (and would have changed if he had gone four years ago).
