Also, I bet that attitude of yours changes if LeBron goes to the Bulls this summer (and would have changed if he had gone four years ago).
It's not that I don't respect Lebron, think he's a a great player, or want him on my team. It's just he's not as good as MJ and I won't use stats or rings to argue it. I trust my eyes and I know what I see. MJ is the greatest I've ever seen play the game. Period.

Indeed, as I've said before here, it doesn't much matter what LeBron does because it will never be enough for some anyway. He could win 8 championships and break every record in the book and it still somehow wouldn't measure up. You'd be one of those individuals, it seems.

If he did that I'd change my tune but he hasn't and he won't. You're basically saying "if he produced like a guy like MJ you still wouldn't give him his props." But either way he hasn't and won't so what the **** does that matter? And the reason he hasn't IMO is bc of that quality I'm speaking of. He's the greatest athlete I've ever seen play the game, but he doesn't have the "it" factor to put him over the top and be better than MJ. He disappears often and doesn't have the command of his team like a true leader and best player should. MJ would never let a 22 year old outplay him on his home court two games in a row in the finals. NEVER. And don't get me wrong Lebron hasn't played bad these past two games, but he's been outplayed by Leonard nonetheless.

Also, I bet that rooting for LeBron to fail thing changes if LeBron goes to the Bulls this summer (and would have changed if he had gone four years ago).
All Babe Ruth did was get hits and hit home runs. He couldn't steal bases and was an average fielder. Even if you disregard that he was an excellent pitcher, many believe he is the best to ever play the game of baseball. That's comparing him to guys like Willie Mays who was probably the best all-around baseball player of all time.

The idea that you keep saying people are butthurt because they are saying he doesn't measure up to the greatest NBA player of all time (and arguably the greatest to ever play any sport) is just plain nuts. That is a ridiculously high bar. I don't think it's nuts to say LeBron will finish up as one of the best players of any sport of all time. Above Gretzky, maybe even Tiger Woods and the Babe. But he's not Jordan. I don't think there will ever be a player that was as competitive or late-game dangerous as MJ was. Ever.

Well that leaves about two people in the LaNBA who are eligible to be "liked" then. And LaBron is at the top of that "lobby for a call" list I might add.

And I sure hope the Chiefs learn from this. Big stars whine and cry to officials ruthlessly. It's sad, but it's true nonetheless.

Repped!

MJ had the ability to elevate the play of guys around him. He made guys a lot of money by making them look better than they were and other teams around the league bit on that and gave them contracts they never lived up to. Lebron has the ability to make 2 max contract guys in their prime and the best 3 point shooter ever look like shit.

All this debate about MJ and LeBron is pretty easily settled. If you had the #1 pick and could choose between MJ and LeBron both in their primes, which would you take? Who wouldn't take MJ? Seriously.
