1st ep was a little underwhelming for me. Hope the 2nd steps it up.

Thought that was good for what it was. The shows tonight were basically setup for the rest of the season - establishing Chuck's limitations, explaining the status between Chuck and Sarah and (re-)introducing the new bad guys, the ring.
Every review I'd read said eps 3-5 were when the new season really kicked into gear, so we'll see. Biggest disappointment for me was the lack of Julia Ling. aka Anna Wu. |

I almost forgot to mention the biggest setup of all, that we have completely shifted the show away from the season 1 and 2 roots of Chuck wanting to be normal, to the Chuck teased in the season 2 finale who wants to be a spy. And also still wants the girl.
Which is a pretty big fundamental shift in the show... My guess is when the show finally does end, the last scene will be the two of them on a beach somewhere, just like the end of Alias... |

Out of 10, I'd say first one rated a 8.5 and the second a 9.5. Neither had the number of lol moments I grew accustomed to but they were really solid episodes.
Like keg said, it set up everything. Though I disagree that Ling is missed. And Emmitt....poor Emmitt.

What can I say, I have a thing for asian chicks. She could co-star as a mannequin for 5 seconds a week and I'd be happy.

Well Chuck did a 3.0 in the ratings which is good for a NBC tv show.

Well, lastnight it went up against some big guns as well in the Simpson's which had like 20 million viewers and Desperate housewives which had something like 12 and still did fairly well.
8pm on Monday is a better slot then the 9pm on Monday. WHo really wants to go up agaisnt 24 and Two and a half Men and The Big Bang THeory, them 2 shows pull in crazy numbers every week. Rather go against House and HIMYM and Rules of Engagement then the other 3 shows. BTW, that 3.0 that Chuck did is NBC's highest Rated Scripted show this season. |
