The claims of "hate" and "crying" are largely far off base and mostly a black and white argument that if you're not in the "they're 3-0, everything is fine (except the offensive line, of course)" camp, you're just never going to be happy. People can't seem to separate the present with what the debate is all about, even though myself, duncan, OtWP, etc; have said several times that 3-0 is nice, but we've been on this ride a hundred times and we're discussing what it takes to win in the playoffs. Most people seem to be in agreement that the offense needs to improve... who, how long it takes, etc; is up for debate, obviously... but, that's what it comes down to, and there's no "hate" in stating the truth. The Eagles game was fun. I'm actually finding time to watch them again, which is a big difference from the past two seasons (and even parts of 2010, with such a shitty schedule). Looking forward to games with the big boys for the real tests (which could come as soon as this weekend). I promise you there's no misery.... jadedness, sure, but no misery.

Often enough, there is truth into this. But no man, there's something far more insidious going on than just this. Saying it is "nice to be 3-0" but then proceeding to bash everything left and right immediately after paints a different picture. There is a lot misery going on here that can not be masked by the simple utterance of "oh, 3-0 is nice." People are still pissed off and filled with hate and anger... even over these 3 victories... and if we are honest, we really know why.

Yeah man.. I get it. I get that you guys have suffered long and hard. I didn't do that to you. I am just (if anything) trying to support the Chiefs and be optimistic.
Probably wouldn't even say a nasty word to any of you, if you would just not take that support and be belligerent in turn.

There are others though who get lumped into this group, who are simply tired of watching a team that's won 3 playoff games since 1970 and none in 2 decades, and clearly doesn't get it. Yeah, we're jaded, which means apathetic... we're past being angry and miserable. We don't have the energy for that any longer. We aren't "bashing everything"... we're stating the same concerns we've stated for at least 2 decades about a team that's clearly ignored the most important position in sports for 4 decades (excluding Joe Montana). And to our surprise, not only does the franchise still not get it, some fans who have been watching all along still don't get it either. So yeah, it kind of sucks to aspire to cautious optimism... I forget which 49er convert I was talking with yesterday, but my view point on Kansas basketball (and other teams) is 180 degrees the other way, and I'd love to one day get that back, because those 2-3 weeks in January are pretty damn entertaining, and I think we've waited long enough to be part of that again.

Whether SF or KC, I for one am going to be happy and optimistic. If they suck? Then oh ****ing well... life goes on. Would my disappointment be all that increased if the team(s) fail and I had predicted them to be great? Either way, it sucks... but you shrug it off. Not telling people how to be.. just suggesting. I can see people expecting misery if KC did jack-shit nothing different in the offseason... but they changed up damn near everything.

I'd like to add this and I think it plays a pretty huge part in thinking optimistically for some that are on the fence. KC's offense has the lowest percentage of stability compared to any other team in the league, over-all they are the 5th lowest. Look at all of those teams records on this list and tell me there's nothing to be optimistic about... Of course you don't understand you are fairweather band wagoner. You are talking to the most passionate fanbase in the NFL we live and die Chiefs. As little kids we were so joyous because of Derrick and the 90's Defense, but at the end we got our hearts broken year after year thus became jaded. We all want to feel like kids again rooting for our favorite team but we don't want to get burned again. As I stated before your a fairweather fan that hops on the next big thing because you don't understand unwavering loyalty.

Bandwagoning from a SB team to the worst team in football? Wow... how cute that accusation is. First, I am not a Chiefs fan. I am a 49ers fan that has taken an appreciation of the Chiefs and keeping up with their progress.. all the while, always keeping SF first and foremost. My loyalty is not wavering in any way. Can you get that yet? You are just pouting and pointing fingers like a child now because you feel that your character and fanhood has been challenged. Just grow up, learn to be less of a pussy, and you will be fine. Enough of this "you don't know what it's like!!!" crybaby shit. Be a man, and quit hiding behind your negativity.
