He also wasn't ready and hadn't had much experience as a reliever. He's pitched 10 IP in his life in the majors. He's dominating guys finally, as he should in AAA now. 1.72 era in the minors this year for Almonte.

Because baseball?

I mean... the disturbing pattern has only existed for a week, and regardless of how frustrating of a week it has been (and of course it has been), it's just that... a week of bad baseball.

Of course, we've all known for months they don't have the shutdown 7-8-9 guys that would be really awesome right now, but that doesn't seem to be the issue with the past 30 minutes of overreacting (as opposed to the normal chicken little overreacting that happens here every other night).
