Peters Suspended

One game. Per Andy.

Summary from Andy (paraphrase) : Best for organization. Talked to Peters. Difficult to do as I like Peters.

I dont agree with this. He is very brash and likes attention, but he also blocks like a mad man down field when asked and cheers like crazy when Hunt, a WR, or anyone else scores a TD.

There isn't a weak part of his game and he is balls out every play. Peters failure to even attempt to tackle people at times and want to blame everyone else like refs or coaches for every problem is the definition of as elfish player. Every play he gives up he looks around at someone else to blame. Its a pattern.

Big difference.

Kelce can be a bone head but he's not the butt fave Peter's is. Peter's will never resign here so trade him now while you can for a 1 pick. Someone will give it like LAR. Make the trade out of conference and move on.

I agree with this. Kelce is a team guy. The way he defended Fisher after that holding call in the playoffs against Pitt and the way he recently defended Smitty shows that.

He's immature but he is a great teammate to have. Peters - not so much.

I hope Peters never plays for the Chiefs again. Getting his hood rat ass off the team is addition by subtraction, no matter how talented he was for a few games last year.

You must've missed the end of the Buffalo game....

Look I love Kelce and he's a great player but to act like he isn't an immature numbskull or about himself is just denying it to make your argument.

I don't think he got suspended for the flag toss - it was something else. He's having discipline issues in practice or something. The flag toss meant absolutely nothing in the grand scheme and Kelce doing essentially the same thing never got him punished. This is about more than the penalty.

It never should've gotten this far with him. They gave him too much rope and here we are; in freefall with our best corner suspended for the biggest game of the year. Aces.
I have to agree with you. There is most likely something more to this than what we are being fed. Even though I don't agree with it, Kelce's actions appear to be more out of frustration with a bit of arrogance in it. The frustration I completely understand and all great players have a level arrogance.

Peters on the other hand comes off as being angry and pissed off at something or someone. That is extremely radioactive on a team. Maybe it’s because no one else would kneel with him and he was told to go hide when he does kneel.

Sure he could come off as a bit immature at times. But are you seriously going to compare him throwing his hands up and walking the opposite direction because ****up threw the game losing interception? To, Peters lackluster performance throughout the WHOLE game… in multiple games? Can you honestly tell me you didn't throw your hands up at the same time?

What I'm saying is that was a horrible look to me...we keep hearing about Peters "quitting on the team" well right there was Kelce doing the same, throwing a temper tantrum because he didn't get the ball and quitting on the play.

Whether he was right or wrong (and he was right to be pissed IMO) you still can't do that...and that was egregious to me.

Oh yeah, I'm sure Kelce was gonna catch that cornerback running down the field...

Kobe Bryant did the same thing if the defender stole the ball on a breakaway with nobody in front of him. Yet everyone Kobe him an insane competitor

Jerry Rice was a 'me first' player. Everyone who played with him thought he was an asshole.

I don't give a shit as long as Kelce stops with the stupid penalties.

Peters habit of quitting (this was not the first time he bailed and left the field early) is a huge problem, as is his lack of effort.
