When Elway played, the average QB rating each year ranged from 75.9 (his rookie year) to 78.2 (his final year). Compared to the league, Elway's 79.9 career rating was pretty damn good. Nowadays, the average QB is somewhere in the 82-87 range, so Alice's career 79.6 rating ain't looking too good by comparison.

Still a small sample size. Rivers was clutch against the Eagles but he was his usual (for the past few years) self against the Texans. It remains to be seen whether the Eagles game was an outlier or the norm. More games like that from Rivers and I'll have to readjust my expectations for the season.

My point was that Coaching makes a huge difference. Also, I have always liked Phillip Rivers. Wish he had some better receiving options. Has Keenan Allen done anything?

I've lived in St. Joe, and I've lived in CA, and I'll tell you CA is 1000000x better than St. Joe. Are you in jail or under house arrest or something? Because I have no idea why anyone would want to live there on purpose.

Where are all the 9er whiners like Alex Smiff, Alice Smith etc etc...
How does it feel now Alex Smith is 2-0 and Kapernoob was a complete embarrassment in Seattle? KaperNoob looked worst than a fail rookie: 3 INTs, 1 Fumble, NO TDs, 20.1 QBR, 127 yd passing... LOL ... Don't think Alex Smith was ever that BAD LOL NOT even in the Nolan days |

Even the well known Alex Smith whiner hater Stephen A Smith on "First Take" said where was Alex Smith when he saw Kapernoob failing like a clueless rook all night long in Seattle lol rofl , doesn't get funnier than that!
Kapernoob DIDN'T EARN THE JOB. It and a SB caliber team was handed to him on a silver platter and the sliver spoon was stuck right into his mouth, same with the over rated publicity in the off season. Too much fame too fast. Taking the job away from Alex Smith like that was straight up robbery, then trading Alex Smith for picks was like throwing away a used condom and getting $10 back, thus what happen in the SB and what's happening now is Karma lol! |

I think Alex Smith has done a great job. This is a team sport. It always confuses me when people want their quarterback to carry the team. Smith has a cap friendly contract which allows the Chiefs to build a solid team around him. The Chiefs have a good chance at going to the playoffs this year because of Alex Smith. ....And if he does get to the playoffs....is that not carrying your team?
