and he's been the best player in the playoffs, on any team, for basically two years.... sorry, much like 'recent' doesn't mean 'a decade,' that is not pedestrian |

His playoff record includes several wins with a 30 or lower QBR and as stated before his receivers making circus catches.
Do you remember the Brett Favre MNF game after his dad died? Do you remember the absolute ridiculous shit he was getting away with in that game because his receivers made once in a lifetime catches to bail him out? Flacco had that game the entire post season. |

Flacco isn't elite.
But they've built the offense around his strengths so that when they hit, they hit big plays. Again, to bring up DJ's LN (who's made some really great points this offseason, IMO, so touche), Flacco isn't very accurate intermediate to short, but throws a great deep ball. Therefor, throw the deep ball a ton. Go get guys who can catch said deep ball. By throwing it deep, you only have to hit a fraction of the percentage of the time to hit big plays. |

Boldin did make some really good catches, but Flacco gave him the chances. |

Flacco is the perfect example of, you get the QB you want, whatever his flaws may be and you put the perfect system for him to succeed around him.
