I hate this argument from KU fans this year. You lost to Duke, UK, and Davidson. I know our non-con was weak but you guys lost to 2 of the 3 toughest non-con teams you played.

I think the winner tomorrow jumps you guys and you end up a 2 seed. I really don't care either way. 1 or 2 it's still a good seed and it's been a great season for MU.

Mizzou will be a dangerous 2, and hopefully St. Louis shakes out. Their OOC SOS is 293rd (69th in overall SOS) according to live-rpi, while KU is currently (?) sitting at 28th (9th overall), but regardless of the exact numbers that's a crucial difference when it comes to seeding.

Non-con SOS is a huge factor for the committee every year. It's why I'm feeling really positive about where Memphis is sitting at 26-8 with #14 RPI and a top 10 non-con SOS (even though the team was awkward as hell back then and totally pooped the bed until waking up with five minutes left against Xavier).

The upside is that Phoenix should be a true neutral site, since I think UNLV is the highest possible seed in the west. I wouldn't be surprised if KU basically gets the last #1 in Phoenix and MU gets the top #2 in St. Louis.... but, I think fans on both sides should be prepared for just about anything, because it really is a coin toss at this point, outside of KU's advantage of SoS.

Of course, MU has been very good at Sprint (a "neutral court") with crowd support, though, so perhaps getting St. Louis would help them considerably. They're certainly a much different team in road environments.

That's not possible. I've heard that only games against KU generate crowd support for Missouri basketball.

I sometimes get this vision of the Selection Committee sitting around playing poker, ordering room service, and generally acting like they have been discussing all afternoon, when all they will do is download the last version of Bracketology that Lunardi puts out and tweak it slightly.

Is the Selection Committee in Indy?

My guess right now is that the winner of tomorrow's B10 game gets the last West 1 seed, and UNC and KU go 1-2 in the Midwest.

They are. Outside of a bad loss to KSU at home they are practically unbeatable at home. On the road they have losses to KU where they blew a 19 point lead, KSU, and a head scratcher to OSU. Although they could lose with the crowd behind them I like their chances far more than in Phoenix or some other place like that.

Although I like Mizzou, I feel the SEC chants were classless. If Tiger fans want to chant SEC wait till next year when they are playing in the SEC tournament. Their uniform still says Big XII and it was their tournament, not the SEC's Mizzou won.
