Spurs still have home advantage and can win this series without ever returning to Miami. They have no reason to be worried. Miami is the one that has to win one of the next three and get it back.

Bad day for Chalmers trolls too, I guess. He stepped up in a big way tonight.

What did we learn today?
1) The Heat are unstoppable. When they want to be. LeBron never lets up in any game, but his teammates too often do 2) Tim Duncan didn't look right today. I can't help but wonder if part of it was knowing Joey Crawford was going to officiate today. It was absolutely criminal for David Stern to think that was a good idea. 3) Manu Ginobli could be an extreme liability in this series 4) This game was pretty loosely officiated. Miami seems to do well in those games and less well when games are called very tight 5) I'm becoming very, very concerned about the Spurs' complete inability to score out of two of their key players (Leonard and Splitter). |

The Spurs never had much urgency for most of the game. They didn't have to win it as much as the Heat did. I wouldn't draw too many significant conclusions from this one for that reason alone.

But given the history, it is just despicable that Stern would have allowed this to happen. I'm not blaming the loss on this, but there is no fan (Heat or Spurs) who can understand this stupid decision. |

They didn't, but Manu has looked really sloppy with his ball handling, they couldn't really get the ball to Duncan today, and I don't think they can expect Green to stay this torrid from the outside unless he's somehow a Robert Horry clone. The Spurs have to get more offense from their supporting cast and I just don't know if Manu is the worth the liability he is on the court.

And they obviously have to keep playing Ginobili. He's clearly not played as well as he can, but he's still an effective player in terms of all that he does on the court. His facilitation skills/vision is a big part of their offense when he gets going. |

Noticing this thread certainly isn't as active when the Heat win.
