i'm all for this. the only thing about remakes that bother me, especially remakes of old sci fi movies with little sfx, is they lose a lot of character because the new producers cram a bunch of sfx in, and the story line and acting take a back seat. see war of the worlds or the day the earth stood still. just hope they don't **** this up too bad.

Hell, I tried to watch the original and his cardboard acting skills bored me to sleep. Think I made it about 30 mins in before I couldn't take it anymore.

Just saw it in 3d, did not have a lot of expectations.. And was thoroughly disappointed.. A lot.. Also do not see this movie in 3d, it is not worth the cost.. Hardly anything in 3d..
The original is literally 100x better.. The only refreshing part about the remake was a few shoutouts to the original and the fact they took a new twists on the plot from the first one.. |
