They've just never done it for me. Which is weird because I like this style of music...they just sound like they're trying to be Metallica too much I guess but not half as good.

While they might be real, they Aren't making real money, a real living or a real impact. But I have favorite bands that don't make it big either.

Yeah but honestly, look at most of the bands and performers that are making a lot of money and getting a lot of exposure. It isn't an indicator of anything to me. And that's nothin against Avenged Sevenfold. I can't wait to hear the rest of the album.

I understand that. Like I said, I like a few bands that aren't "big". The problem s if they aren't able to make money, they don't last. But, there is truth to what you say.

Not sure about that one , I listen to alot of underground and smaller stuff thats been around a bit but still nnot making huge money

I have to disagree. If you get a band worth their salt they will make the money. When you go underground you get bands that put real time into their music and the quality and performance is top notch. The band might not last, but damn is it a show.

Ummmmm...

Clutch has been around for 20 years and has released 10 studio albums.

Hell the Sword has been around since 2003.

FFS, King Crimson wasn't a 'big band' when they were around and have been hugely influential to music.

You're over-rating commercial success.
