This just makes Tom Brady look so much better. Peyton and Flacco hamstring their own chances of winning championships by demanding this enormous contracts.

Flacco has 9 playoffs since he joined the Ravens in 2008. Before that the Ravens had 5 and 4 of those were in their Super Bowl run. They have also made the playoffs 5 straight years. Before 2008, only 4 times had they made the playoffs.
Flacco is worth it. |

Absolutely not. They should have traded for Alex Smith. It would have been the easiest thing to do without having to bother with all that thinking which makes you tired anyways. Those fools don't get it. Winning championships is what over-achievers do. Trust me, you don't want that because then you have to pay all those greedy athletes all that money. It is much better to accomplish decades of mediocrety. Hello ?!?!! Its called consistancy...Jeez.

Let's see.....nine playoff wins, a SB win, only 28 y/o......yeah, why not?
Besides, that contract will look like a bargain in a few years. |

What's the alternative? Let the guy that just won you a Super Bowl walk?
I'd have to say he is. I wouldn't like giving him all that money because I think he's a bum and I question his drive, but the Ravens really had no other options. |

It's this, and we all know the contract wont play out like it is currently structured. It's all about the guaranteed money.

My opinion is Flacco had a hell of a stretch, one for the ages really, and will soon return to his off and on medicore self making that contract rediculous.

QB play in the NFL seems to be at an all-time low. Or rather, the number of QBs who can win a super bowl for you is at an all-time low, and the number of QB-poor teams is at an all-time high.
No, you don't let someone like Flacco walk. |
