I think the fans are putting the Broncos game on a pedestal. In the grand scheme of things, it means nothing.

The Jets went to the AFC championship game as wild cards, one year as 8-8.

The Giants and Ravens won it with a 9-7 regular season record.

It's just not that important.

Did you consider the fact that teams RARELY beat a team 3 times in same season? I would rather lose both season games and kick their but in the Playoffs, myself.

I have to say, though, pounding a Matt Cassel-led Bills team at Arrowhead would be a dream come true.

Trolling again. Is he the starter?

Opening game of the season at home. This is an easy win. Denver should lose by 10. There is no excuse to lose to them.

I think you're wrong. It's the home game....its very important.

If we are going to win the division we have to beat the donks, and home is the best place for it. Also, we are going away for two tough road games immediately afterwards.

Getting a good start is key in the nfl, its a proven fact.

Yes it is POSSIBLE to go 1-3 or get swept by the broncos ...or go 8-8 as you say...

But not likely.

It's not like a must win but to say the game is not that important is ridiculous. It is very important. This place will go insane when we win.....tell me its not important when that happens.

It's a good barometer and measuring stick. It could have some player morale benefits as well.

The questions all come back to game plan and OL/QB play when it comes to the destiny for this team.

There isn't one team in the AFC they can't compete with at all levels on both sides of the ball.

I only picked NE to beat them in the AFCCG because I think they'd be out for revenge, but they could also be scared shitless, too.

Meh.

Every game is "important". IMO, the Chiefs can win 11 games without beating the Broncos, just like the Royals lost to the Tigers repeatedly last year, along with the division, yet made it to the World Series.

I'm not stressing if the Chiefs lose to the Broncos in "Week" 2.
