F Dodge in the A

Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to design a car where you have to take half the front end apart to change a ****ing headlight?

All that and I still could not get the headlight bulb changed because the damn headlight would not come out!!!

Really guys... something that burns out like clock work should be much more easily accessible than this. It's a ****ing joke.

I will never again buy a Dodge Stratus.

Yep we work on these babies all day long. They do this so they weed more of the "do it yourself" folks out and try and make them go back to the dealer.

The battery is hidden inside the front fenderwell on those too. Stupid shit.

One of my employees had a dead battery, and I had a spare in my shop that I was sure would work... if I could only find the MFer....

lol, I love some of the hate in this thread. This isn't really a Dodge, or domestic car issue at all. It's a result of making cars fuel efficient, which means lower, more steeply raked front ends at the sacrifice of engine compartment space. How often does anyone change a headlamp bulb anyway, I usually only have to replace them once, if that, over the course of owning any vehicle, which is generally 4-5 years. If you're having to do it on an annual basis it's probably because your touching the bulb with your fingers, which greatly shortens the life of it.

True. Now that I've got my wife's car done, I know I won't have to worry about it again as we'll get rid of it in the next 2 years.

IIRC those have either two pins you pull out and remove the headlight assy, OR two long bolts 5.5 MM maybe and again the whole assy pretty much falls out

Not a Dodge related comment, but I think the new Ford Taurus's are some of the nicest looking American sedan type cars I've seen in a long time. They sort of have an Acura look to them.

Heh, when I was in the car business we called them "Cle's." As in Cle-Taurus. Some of us didn't share your lust for the Taurus. If a person wanted one, you could rip one coming through the ring for nothing though.
