So who ratted out Hali and the Chiefs?...
If I got this right, this suspension was levied by the league over some trouble Hali had gotten into in the past, but which the league had not been aware of until recently.

Hmm...I wonder who could have alerted the league to the incident?...Somebody like a former coach, maybe who had just been axed by the Chiefs, and is now coaching for another NFL team?...Somebody who always seemed kind of half-nuts and full of rage for example...

If only I could think of somebody like that...

I'm willing to bet the punishment for shielding that information from the NFL is even worse.

I even saw this in one of the talking heads pieces about it. These things are supposed to remain silent until the final punishment is handed down. For all we know the league knew about the legal problems when they happened, and has been dealing with appeals and figuring out the punishment since then. Only once the final appeal, settlement or whatever is handed down should the public be made aware of the issue. I would provide the link, but don't have it here on hand, it is in the original thread about Hali's suspension though.
