Just an FYI...

It takes about 45 minutes to carefully remove a nameplate from an authentic.

And it does leave behind faint stitch holes, so you have to make sure you have the same size name plate to replace it. The one on my authentic is 4" by 17".

I'm guessing the numbers are going to leave marks as well, so I'd think it through before making a dramatic change.

I'm debating on changing my LJ to either Berry or going old school with Joe Delaney - that way at least one number will stay the same.

Yeah, I'm real torn about this if it's worth it to pull the nameplate and the 7's off. I would feel better if the nameplates were the same size.

Damn, this is a tough decision.

If I go with a current player, I'll either change to Berry or Flowers.

I'd lean towards Berry for no other reason than the "9" will cover the marks left by the old "7" better than a "4" would.

However, I'm really considering going the Delaney route, then I'll never have to worry about doing this again, and the "3" would cover the old "2" nicely as well.

You know, I have never bought myself a jersey.

If I did, I would definitely go with an old school name.

My wife has bought me jerseys as gifts and knows me well enough that she has done the same.

Unfortunately, she doesn't know any of the old school defensive players.

I'm not what the number is but I think Croyle holds the record.

If anyone has an authentic jersey that I could make into a Moeaki (#81, so either a jersey that stars with an 8 or ends with a 1) I would trade em a Surtain that could be made into a DMC or Berry.
