Occasionally I will use the maple flavored one, but I think the maple is too strong.
I honestly can't tell the difference between the Original and Sage. I also use the Hot Variety for my lunch every day. I buy about 4 16 oz packages of Jimmy Dean a week. It may have taken over bacon as my #1 meat. |

Tip: use jimmy dean hot sausage in your rotel/velveeta queso dip instead of hamburger. Delish!

The first time I had that dip was with jimmy dean hot, all the others that just use hamburger don't measure up

I can't remember who's recipe this is (Monty's?)
But its Jalapeņo poppers where the cream cheese is mixed with Jimmy Dean sausage and stuffed into the jalapeņo, then it's wrapped in bacon. |

Yeah I can't eat ground beef anymore because I can never season it as good as Jimmy Dean.

I like that occasional hard thing you bite into inside sausage, it's one out of every twenty bites, or so. I seriously think it may be a piece of a hog's ear.
But RIP just the same, Jimmy, you've earned it guy. |
