Misc College Students - Page 3

So, classes started today here at nwosu. What kind of classes are the college students on here enrolled in? How many hours you taking? How long are you on campus for them?

I'm enrolled in 16 going M,W,F 8-12 with a 3 hr night class and a 2 hour thursday lab.

I have General Biology and lab, Middle Ages, American Colonial Period, Police Trafficing and Enforcement, and a 3 hour general humanities class.

Don't know anything about humanities, is it a type of art history class? The book for it is 180 bucks. Everything else was a lot cheaper. My sister spent well over 700 on her books.

Unfortunately, I'm an English major. In addition to the textbooks, we have to buy all manner of supplemental novels, books of poetry, etc.

I save hundreds and hundreds of dollars by utilizing MOBIUS, MO's collegiate inter-library loan system. I just check out the majority of textbooks and supplemental books.

So far:

Junior-Senior History Seminar: Exploring the West
Elementary Logic
Intro to Economics
Classical Political Theory
Campaigns, Communication, and the Media

I also want to take Constitutional Law, but I don't think I'm signed up for it. If I get into that, I'd drop probably Campaigns, Communication, and the Media.

I also want to take Classical Civilization, but I'm definitely not signed up for it. If I get into that, I'd probably drop Intro to Economics or the Seminar.

I had one semester that pushed me to the brink.

I student-taught a developmental English class, had a prof that had us read Dickinson to no end, and I realized I was only 1/4 done with the foreign language requirement of my degree. Then I quit.

My gf graduated with an english degree and philosophy minor...she is great to have around resume/paper time. She is incredibly intellegent, im fortunate haha

I don't know why history professors have required books to buy. Every history class I've taken I have never used a book. I take that back, I used my Ancient Greece book because it was online.

I'm going to teach high school american history or world history and prob try being a coach. If that doesn't work out I can use my criminal justice minor degree and become a cop. Or, I could teach during the school year and do police work during the summer and winter break.

I worked with this moron who supposedly had a Masters in history and was still working at a sporting goods store "she liked working cash registers".

Last year of my MBA program, and I'm pretty much on cruise control at this point as I'm only taking two classes this mod - Leadership and Law & Finance of M&A.

I only have one book, but we also have classpaks that are basically $50 each for 20 photocopied pages, and you can't resell them.

Total dipshit on her part...i think my buddy will eventually make the move, he has been with walmart for 10 years (been there since 17) and is hoping to be a manager and make 6 figs....he barely makes over 30k now...

I think he'd make a great teacher/professor, he loves history.
