Final Banner thread

It just comes down to wording now...

FIRE GM - DRAFT 1ST RD QB - RESTORE HOPE - SOC

NEW QB - NEW GM - NEW HOPE - SOC

---------

Had to change the first suggestion slightly because the airline guys don't have a # tile.

Bench Cassel, Fire Pioli is about as "precise" as you can get.

I hope everyone that votes for number 2 goes out and buys an Alex Smith jersey when he is our "new" QB

He's allowed the organization, through the likes of Winston and Pioli, to give the fans the finger all year. At this point, I'm not too worried about being delicate.

Banners spark debate, and drafting a QB is exactly what we want buzzing about KC leading up to the draft.

You know how you win? Bring in a competent football person to run personnel.

That's it. The right football person will know to draft a franchise QB.

THAT'S the message. Cassel's done and gone. The target has to be Pioli and when you try to not only oust the previous GM but insert your will over the next GM, I as an owner am going to tell you to **** yourself.

It's time to lay it all on the line because after this SOC desolves and donates the leftover cash to charity. So say it bluntly with the 1st choice.

Get real.

We're not ordering anybody to do anything.

We're making our WISHES public.

Do we want a drafted QB or do we want them to bring in Alex ****ing Smith?
Fair enough. Bad wording. Still, I think the idea of the post stands. Let's not "make our WISHES public" before the new GM even arrives.

And again - it's cute when you do it once. But I'd be damn tired of being told what to do if I'm Clark Hunt at this point. We need to continue to massage that point, rather than continue yelling at the guy.

He's lucky that the banner isn't:

Don't **** this up, Clark-SOC
or
We want chocolate penis-SOC

If Clark is as much of a sensitive pussy as you're suggesting, we're already ****ed.

Again, we're not dictating, we're making our wishes publicly known.

What has made this effective has been the public rallying around it. The news outlets and the word of mouth has made this a hell of a movement.

So it's important not to sound like a bunch of blow-hard Philly fans and **** that up.

Getting that detailed when you have to rally the support of fans that aren't that well versed and a media that is only willing to give you 60 second blurbs is counter-productive.

You can't lose the momentum that the PR battle has gained. It's the masses we're after here and the masses will respond better to the vague message focused on uh....hope and change....{sigh}. We've watched the masses get behind that bit of nebulous horseshit twice in the last 4 years now - it works.

It's the masses you have to appeal to here. We've done that so far - don't drop the baton this close to the finish line.
