The two ways to counter that is have a highly pressure rush at QB throughout the game and or great DB's and linebackers for coverage.

Manning is immune to pass rushes.

The game thread is an indication of one of his plays...as bone-headed as it was. After the INT he came back to lead two scoring drives. Including a 69 yard TD pass. The only thing he made easy for Reid last night was to see that he is the clear #2 right now.

I was expecting a lot worse from Smith with all the haters saying how bad he was sucking.

Smith was efficient, completing 60% of his passes, and leading the team to 17 first quarter points.

Or 3 first quarter points...depending on who the NFL stats keepers decide to give the two touchdowns to.

He's ****ing joking. You guys have had some serious trouble detecting jd's Alex Smith sarcasm.

Smith, as well as the rest of the first teamers, looked like absolute ass.

Not sure about Chase keeping the bkup spot locked up. Still three games left in preseason and evaluations from camp. Who knows what direction we will go.

Have to go with the experienced player. Bray and Murray are 47 passes behind Daniel. That can't be overlooked.

Defense still looks sloppy and poorly trained. No options, no adjusting(just preseason, i know)

no pressure unless we blitz and if we blitz all the time we open ourselves up to the big play

our secondary looks asstastic ... again ... apparently Emmitt Thomas can't coach as well as he can play

going by just this 1 preseason game ............. our defense looks to be EXACTLY like last year. When we face QB's that aren't good passers we look awesome. Against quality passers we look like stank ass.
