When you have to sit and actually "dig" up some positives on this trade it's obviously not a good trade no matter how you slice it.

I wanted Geno too. But, no one on this board can really say they know more about QB technique and football than Reid. This is his baby. For crissakes he watched the entire season of each player before he even had the interview.
I think a lot of the depression on here is partly due to some similarites to 2009. We just have to trust and hope that Reid has made the right decision. I'm a idiot, I can't quit being a fan of a team that sucks ass. Whats wrong with me?

ok, I just looked. What was terrible about his last two years? His qb rating? His completion percentage? His tds? I honestly don't know what you're looking at.

I think we should ask Roger Goodell to move the goal post back to the front of the end zone for Ryan Succup.

Do you know who the Giants dismantled in the playoffs that year? They ate Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, and Tom Brady with their full compliment of receivers. The nfccg was played in a monsoon, alex smith had a fat michael crabtree, joe hastings, kyle williams, and brett swain............He still didnt turn the ball over, and still had his team in the LEAD 14-10 when kyle williams had the first ball go off his knee, he also led the team to the tying fg just to get the damn game to overtime. |

After he got hurt, he played another drive, drove the team down and threw a td to michael crabtree.
The game before that, on monday night against the cardinals he completed 18/19 with three tds, and his only incompletion was a drop by delanie walker. making him 25/27 with 4 tds, no ints. he was playing the best football of his career. |

Chris Weinke started for us. Troy smith, david carr, shaun hill, jt osullivan, ken dorsey. I get it. There is a reason they arent extending alexs contract. They are going to draft the qbotf and let alex hold down the fort. I saw a post before that said goodell should move the goal posts up for succop. At least with alex smith, succop will have a chance to kick the fg, where as last season 29 turnover prevented even that. |

There is no bright side. Don't bother looking for one.
