Just so we have this straight, because unless the rules have changed some of you are really confused. As a tagged player, that hasn't signed his tender, he is free to meet with any damn team he wants and even do a contract negotiation. The only issue is that if he actually signs the contract the Chiefs can match or the other team has to give up this year and next years first round pick. In general what happens is that a team will ask for lesser terms in a trade than 2 first round picks before the player signs the contract.

Yeah well, uh, the team already has Albert and he has proven to be well above average at what he does and he is experienced. By some measurements he is top 5.

So yeah, lets get rid of that guy and hopefully get one just as good with 1.1. Heck, you never know, in a few years he may actually turn out to be better when last year's 6 pro bowlers are retired.

I'd missed that, but I'm not really positive at what point they can't negotiate with another team.

You can essentially write those guys off right now and it has nothing to do with the offensive line. Alex Smith pretty well guarantees those guys will never see a Super Bowl.

This seems to be the only claim of Albert wanting Duane Brown money or of Miami being willing to pay him. Jason Cole, Chris Mortenson, and at least one report out of Miami (which said Albert actually wants more money than Jake Long, not just equal money) have all have made contrary statements.

And for whatever this is worth, Russ Lande claims that the Chiefs offered Albert a contract similar to Long's and it was turned down.

I hear ya, just throwing that out there as it pisses me the hell off.

Same thing, same process, rinse and repeat.

Just few more in a very long line of good to great players wasting the opportunity to actually win a SB.

Everyone on the Josh Freeman bandwagon for 2015!

Holy crap, first time I heard that. That is a game changer if true.
