As for the back-end additions to the fees, you really have to check your contract. I'm not sure if you had any additional terms to the purchase such as an extended warranty, paint protection, etc. Seems shady if they have a normal set fee and you didn't change/add anything. |

I have never seen an expiration date on a "We Owe" from a dealership.
I was given a loaner car while a Blue Springs Nissan "We Owe" was installed on my Altima SR coupe and they refused my money after one of the center caps went missing because I drove it like I stole it over the 4th of July holiday Remember the cute blond girl bending over to show you the "BLUE" coil springs in the commercials back in the 90's? Sure seems like it. I say seems like it, because I only know what's been said. BUT Administration fees have to be uniform to EVERY customer.

Years ago as a teenager with my dad shopping for a car in a used car lot a pickup had on the window "RUNS GOOD" great we thought check it out.
Out comes the salesman saying "Rens good Rens good!" hands me the key I get in and turn the ignition and . . . nothing, doesn't start must be a dead battery but we weren't buying from that guy |

I owned a business where I dealt with the Asst Sales Managers, Sales Managers, and General Sales Managers, and Dealer Principals, as Van Tuyl used to call them. I used to call on every dealer in the KC Metro area. I have been away for many years but, in the car biz, some things stay the same. Selling wholesalers on the corner of 75th and Metcalf on Sundays comes to mind.....

Hi, yes, I'll deliver.
Though I don't sell cars any more, I moved into an upper management position with a dealership group a few years ago. I will still take care of you~ Also my advice when buying a car to avoid this situation.. Read everything you sign. 98 times out of 100 the dealer is 100% covered by what you signed, so you can be sure they know what you are signing, its best that you do too. |
